Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, Southern Uganda: Studied the hero shrew on a National Geographic Grant.
Ghana Coastal Wetlands Management Project: Served as Team Leader for vertebrate surveys to established a series of long-term biodiversity monitoring sites in Ghana, West Africa. Worked with colleagues at The University of Ghana, Accra.
Small mammal surveys in Madagascar: Ranomafana National Park and primate surveys in forests in southern Madagascar.
